Pediatric rehabilitation for children and teens
C.S. Mott Children’s Hospital at University of Michigan Health-Sparrow provides specialized pediatric physical medicine and rehabilitation services for children and adolescents across Mid-Michigan. Our goal is to help children improve function, mobility, independence and quality of life through coordinated, family-centered care.
The Pediatric Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation (PM&R) Clinic cares for infants, children and teens with physical, developmental and neurological conditions that affect movement, strength, coordination or daily activities. We work closely with families, primary care providers and therapy teams.
Conditions and treatments
Our clinic provides evaluation and management for a range of conditions and concerns, including:
• Cerebral palsy
• Spasticity and muscle tone disorders
• Developmental delays
• Neuromuscular disorders
• Genetic and congenital disorders affecting mobility
• Gait abnormalities and mobility challenges
• Rehabilitation needs following illness, injury or surgery
• Adaptive equipment and mobility support
